OCEANS’15 MTS/IEEE GENOVA: CALL FOR PAPERS

Discovering Sustainable Ocean Energy for a New World

The Oceans’15 MTS/IEEE Genova Organizing Committee is cordially inviting you to submit a contribution to the conference.

Extended Abstracts must be submitted on-line within the December 5 deadline through the abstract submission page as .pdf files, in free format. Extended list of Oceans’15 local and core Oceans Conferences topics is here.

Authors of accepted abstracts will then be asked to finalize the abstract in a full paper, IEEE Conference style, for final submission (deadline: March 27 2015).

Abstracts may be submitted in the following categories:

Regular Technical Program: Abstract submitted for review, technical paper, presentation in technical or poster session at the conference, and publication in IEEE Xplore if all requirements are met. Oral presentation in a poster session, for those authors who prefer this option, is at the discretion of the Technical Program Committee.

Student Poster Contest: Abstract, paper, poster presentation, and publication in IEEE Xplore. The SPC is open to any full-time student in an accredited program. Participation is limited to the top 12 (approximately) applicants as determined during the abstract review process. Travel expenses will be subsidized and full registration is included. Applicants who do not qualify for the SPC may be invited to participate in the regular technical program (no subsidies).

Extended abstracts, in free format and uploaded here as .pdf files, should be one to two pages (500-1000 words) in length, inclusive of equations and figures.

All abstracts:

  • should clearly explain the intended paper and its technical significance
  • must be for original work that has not been previously published
  • must not be advertisements nor overly commercial in content.

Organized sessions: you are encouraged to organize a session with coherent content (specific scientific, technical or industrial developments, collaborative research projects, research project clusters, etc.), by inviting potential participants to submit an abstract on your foreseen session topic. Organized sessions do not require prior approval, but you should inform at submission time the Technical Program Chair, Prof. Pino Casalino (technicalchair@oceans15mtsieeegenova.org) by mail with subject: Oceans’15 Organized Session; within the mail body include repeat the session title, the session (co-)organizers, the list of invited contributors and their contribution title.

Submission of contributions to organized sessions will follow the same peer review procedure of the regular abstracts. At the end of the review process, the Technical Program Committee will inform the session organizers of the acceptance of the session proposals, of the contributions accepted within the proposal, and may suggest the organizers to include in the session other contribute abstracts that may fit in the scope of the session.

Should your abstracts been invited by a colleague organizing a session, please indicate the name of the session and the name of the session organizer at the end of the abstract.

For further information, please contact the Technical Program Chair, Prof. Pino Casalino (technicalchair@oceans15mtsieeegenova.org) or the Student Program Chair, Dr. Paola Picco (studentposterchair@oceans15mtsieeegenova.org).
